About us

Fired Up is the perfect place to get creative. It’s a busy ceramics studio in Yate, near Bristol, offering employment training to people with learning disabilities and autism.

We’re also open to the public for ceramic painting classes and to hire for private parties or team building sessions.

We also take part in lots of local events such as farmers’ markets, craft fairs, and Christmas markets. We enjoy being able to sell our products directly to the public and we take great pride in explaining how each item is made.

If you’re looking for a unique, personal gift, our shop has a range of high-quality, handmade products.

History

We came into existence when two ceramics projects joined together in 2001; an occupational therapy project and an inclusive community class.

We’ve moved around over the years. After a fire in 2004 at our original base in Southmead, we relocated to Pucklechurch in South Gloucestershire, where we lived happily for around 10 years, and then in 2015, we moved to our current home in Yate. We’re now at the heart of our local community, meeting new people, and bringing together different groups.

Brandon Trust

Fired Up is part of the learning disability charity Brandon Trust, a Bristol-born charity founded in 1994, which now offers support to adults and children across the south of England.
